For the Toronto Reference Library, we were brought in by the general contractor to restore a room’s acoustical environment following fire damage that destroyed the existing materials. After the damaged surfaces were removed, our role was to ensure the space regained its intended acoustic performance.
We designed and specified surface-mounted acoustic treatments that balanced sound reflection and absorption, helping to restore clarity, reduce unwanted sound reflections, and maintain the room’s original acoustic character.
The completed work returned the room to a functional and comfortable listening environment, supporting both speech and general sound quality while preserving the architectural integrity of the space.
