For this church renovation, we were engaged to take a holistic approach to both sound reinforcement and room acoustics, ensuring the upgraded space would support clear, consistent audio for a wide range of services and musical styles. Using 3D electro-acoustical modeling, we designed the loudspeaker system to work in direct relationship with the room’s acoustic behavior rather than treating each as separate challenges.
The long, narrow room geometry led us to a mono center loudspeaker system with delayed fill coverage to maintain uniform sound levels throughout the seating area while staying within strict budget limits. We coordinated closely with the contractor to create a concealed subwoofer cavity that preserved the clean interior aesthetic while remaining acoustically effective.
Targeted acoustic treatments were integrated throughout the space to control reflections, enhance speech clarity, and support musical performance, all without disrupting the visual design of the renovation. The result is a balanced, natural-sounding environment that meets diverse worship needs while maintaining a refined, welcoming interior.
