St. Michael’s Parish in London, Ontario, was in the process of replacing the loudspeaker system in their sanctuary. The acoustics of the sanctuary had been a problem in the past and the parish wished to improve to the acoustics of the space to enhance the performance of the new audio system. OCTAV was engaged to assess the room acoustics and model the interaction of the room and the proposed new audio system. Our team completed an on-site acoustical evaluation and 3-D acoustical modeling of the sanctuary and developed an acoustical treatment plan to remediate acoustical defects within the space.
